Leonard Spielberg, Esq.

Leonard Spielberg has been practicing law since 1973 and is one of the founding Partners of Harold, Salant, Strassfield & Rotbard, LLP.

Leonard practiced in the field of Wills, Trusts and Estates for more than 35 years. Early in his career, his practice was conducted, to a great degree in French, servicing French clients in New York City. He has been involved in various litigations during his career, with extensive involvement in matters involving Estates, Bankruptcy, Construction, Taxes, and Divorce/ family law. His daughter, Jill Spielberg, Esq. joined the firm in 2008, after four years of litigation practice with one of the largest law firms in the United States.

Leonard Spielberg obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Brooklyn College, his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s Law School and was awarded a Master of Laws in Taxation by the New York University School of Law in 1976. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and he has practiced extensively in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has argued in the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, he has practiced extensively in the United States Bankruptcy Courts; and he is admitted and has practiced in The United States Claims Court and the United States Tax Court. He has been admitted pro hac vice to represent clients in cases in the Courts of the states of New Jersey, Florida, Massachusetts, Idaho, California and Connecticut.
